Health funds offer some superb benefits and at 1300SMILES dentists we accept many different health funds at our practices. 1300SMILES works with most private health fund providers as we want to make claims as simple and as straightforward as we can for you. Our preferred partners include medibank, Bupa, TUH and HCF, although this can vary according to your practice location. Often we can organise claims on the same days as your treatments using our link to HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payments Service). Although we can help you with your health fund claims, the contract between you and your health fund is separate from the contract you have with our dental practice.
Defence will reimburse your gap expenses when you visit your general practice. Services must have a Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS) Item Number.
You do not do not need to show your ADF Family Health Card when visiting the general practice. The exception will be if your general practice allows you to claim the ADF Family Health rebate electronically.
In most cases you will be required to pay for your general practice visit up front; you then claim the Medicare rebate before submitting a claim for gap reimbursement from ADF Family Health via one of the How to Claim methods. Unfortunately we cannot accept credit card statements as proof of payment.
You can DOWNLOAD CLAIM FORMS and find a STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO CLAIM.
ZIP is a convenient way to pay for your dental treatment and offers some great deals as well. With two payment formats ‘ZIP Money’ & ‘ZIP Pay’ you choose the one that suits your requirements. Both offer interest free payment periods and acceptance is both easy and fast. Plus, you can see instantly at all times just where your purchases have been made and how much money you are spending.
